Apartment prices on the Mediterranean coast have skyrocketed

Apartment prices on the Mediterranean coast have skyrocketed

Haziran 1, 2021

The cost of apartments and houses in coastal cities today is already higher than that of housing of a similar type and area in the three largest cities of the country.

Thus, the largest increase in prices was in the provinces.

Mugla - Aydin - Denizli: 45.77% per year.

The Antalya-Burdur-Isparta "triangle" also demonstrates quite high "rates": 41.9% per year.

The most significant growth in the value of residential real estate was recorded in Antalya and Bodrum.

We remember how prices at resorts went up in March 2020, immediately after the pandemic was announced: people tried to get away from the crowds and from densely populated cities in order to isolate themselves in the most comfortable conditions. Preferably in detached houses or villas, and if this is not possible, in very spacious apartments with balconies.

As a result, in terms of price increases from March 2020 to January 2021, the Antalya and Mugla regions are in the lead. So, in Mugla, the cost of villas is already equal to European ones. According to a recently published ranking, 9 of the 10 fastest growing provinces in Turkey are seaside.

Prices are growing extremely fast not only for the purchase of housing, but also for rent, even though the rent in the summer regions is already quite high.
