On the evening of February 20, two tremors of magnitude 5.8 and 6.4 were recorded in the Turkish province of Hatay. Earthquakes were also felt in Syria, Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Palestine. 6 dead and 213 wounded are reported.
The Ministry of Disaster and Emergency Management of Turkey AFAD has already reported that aftershocks after the main earthquake can last for several months, so residents and emergency services of risky regions were prepared for such a development of events, which allowed avoiding a large number of victims.
