The largest park in Turkey in Istanbul

Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urban Development and Climate of Turkey, shared excellent news about the opening of the largest park in the country in the near future. "There are only a few days left before the completion of the construction of the Ataturk Airport National Park and the grand opening of the park with the participation of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will take place very soon," he said.

The new park will be the fifth largest in the world and the largest park in Turkey. Its area is 2 million m2, of which 70 thousand m2 will be occupied by indoor infrastructure facilities! On the landscaped territory, visitors will have access to pedestrian and bicycle paths, playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, a skateboard area, a museum, a library, exhibition halls, a sports youth complex.

Also, an artificial channel Ab-y Hayat Suyu (Ab-y Hayat Suyu) with a length of 2.5 km will be created in the park, along the banks of which picnic areas and viewing platforms will be equipped. It will be possible to get to the park from one of the nine entrances, next to which greenhouses and greenhouses will be laid out. In case of emergency situations, the park even provides a zone with 40 thousand tents designed to accommodate 165 thousand people at the same time.
