Penalties for parents of students who are not registered at their actual address of residence

Ocak ayı. 16, 2023
Mustafa Karlibash, head of Alanya's population registration department, said parents of students registered at a fake address would be fined 5,965 Turkish lira. Some parents register their children at a different address than their actual address in order to get a place in a school that is assigned to a particular area.
The head of the Department of Education of Alanya, Yusuf Yilmaz, visited Mustafa Karlibash in his office. During the visit, an exchange of views took place on the measures to be taken against the parents of students registered at a fake address.
Yusuf Yilmaz said: “The best school is the school closest to your home. As part of our schooling, we teach children about honesty, which is one of our most important values. We hope that the parents of our students will stand in solidarity with us and show the importance of honesty, first of all, by their own example."
