Many countries have supported Turkey after the devastating earthquake that occurred in the country. Humanitarian aid was provided by Azerbaijan, Russia, China, Israel, Pakistan, Italy, USA, Iran, Greece, Northern Cyprus, India, Holland, France, Uzbekistan, Spain, Belgium, Georgia, Austria, Croatia, Armenia, South Korea, Qatar, Germany, England, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Taiwan, Lebanon.

Turkish Airlines spokesman Yahya Ustun said on his social media account that they continue to deliver humanitarian aid, as well as assist search and rescue teams in the earthquake areas. The airline has already completed 47 flights, 9 of which were cargo.

The Turkish Ministry of Commerce issued a warning to companies and sellers who set inflated prices for essential goods after the earthquake. The statement says that the most severe fines and penalties will be applied to such companies.

According to the Statistical Office of Turkey (TÜIK), the population of Alanya in 2022 was 364,180 people, which is 3.9% more than in 2021. 252,941 and 53,702 people live in Manavgat and Gazipasha bordering Alanya, respectively.The population of Antalya in 2022 was 2,688,004 people.

On February 6, at 4-17 am, a powerful earthquake occurred in Kahramanmarash. Due to the high magnitude (7.4 points out of 10), the earthquake affected nearby provinces - Kilis, Diyarbakir, Osmaniye, Adana and others. Hundreds of buildings in 10 provinces were destroyed. The Association of Tour Operators of Russia reported that the volume of early booking of tours to Turkey for the summer of 2023 increased by 50% compared to the same period last year. Representatives of PEGAS Touristik confirmed this information: "In 2022, people realized how important it is to take advantage of attractive discounts for early booking, since in the summer months the prices for tours are the highest. For this reason, they have shown great interest in early booking."

Ticket sales for the Volgograd - Istanbul route have been opened on the official website of the Russian carrier. Starting from March 8, 2023, Pobeda will operate a flight on this route on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It is also planned to start flights from Moscow to Bodrum in June. It is also known about the carrier's plans to open flights to Dalaman from Moscow and Makhachkala and flights to Istanbul from Kazan and Vladikavkaz.
