102 athletes will represent Turkey at the Olympic Games in Paris

Seventeen days before the 2024 Paris Olympics, the team was announced to represent Turkey at the Games. A total of 102 athletes, 54 women and 48 men were selected to compete for medals in 18 sports. Thus, for the second time after London 2012, the number of female athletes in our delegation exceeded the number of male athletes.

The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from 26 July to 11 August 2024. 329 medal competitions will be held in 32 sports, at 35 competition facilities, with the participation of about 10,500 athletes. In addition to the 28 major sports included in the Olympic program, Paris 2024 will host competitions in break dancing, wave surfing, skateboarding and sports climbing.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
