200 million euros for the Çekmeköy-Sankaktepe-Sultanbeyli metro line and 800 million liras for new buses in Istanbul

The sixth session of the Istanbul Municipal Council, chaired by Second Deputy Chairman Ömer Faruk Kalayci, was held at the municipality's Saraccan building. The municipality's proposal for an external loan of 200 million euros to realize the Çekmeköy-Sankaktepe-Sultanbeyli metro line project was unanimously approved during the session.
The request of Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel Enterprises (IETT) for a loan of 800 million liras to purchase new buses was also approved.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
