December 31, 2023

Speaking at a meeting of mukhtars in Beshtepe, President Erdogan instructed Interior Minister Ali Yerlikai during his speech: "Let's definitely include on the agenda the work on restructuring the offices of our mukhtars, taking into account current conditions and future needs."

"I wish that mukhtar services would benefit the residents of our towns and villages. Mukhtars are the basis of the administrative structure of our country. Together, we can best improve the lives of 85 million of our citizens. Our mukhtars provide us with all possible support and we also support our mukhtars in all areas by creating departments for mukhtar affairs in metropolitan municipalities and increasing their salaries and other personal rights to an appropriate level," the president added.
