Tourism Festival in Northern Cyprus

This weekend, from June 2 to June 4, the 21st International Tourism Festival will be held in Alanya. The theme of the festival is "The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey". A solemn procession of the nomads of y r k g , who are the ancestors of the first inhabitants of Alanya, will take place at the opening.

Turkish citizens are already voting at polling stations, which will be open until 17-00. Today the country will elect a new president! In Alanya, 231,786 people have the right to vote. Important! Schoolchildren have a day off tomorrow.

The Municipality of Erdemli, together with the Archery Federation and the School Sports Federation, held an Archery Championship between Turkish schoolchildren. The competition lasted 4 days and ended with a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners. A total of 770 schoolchildren from 66 provinces of Turkey took part in the championship. The archery range where the championship was held is the largest in Europe. Young athletes and spectators left the most positive feedback about the championship.

The second round of the presidential elections will be held this Sunday. There are two candidates on the ballot: incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and opposition representative Ali Kilicdaroglu.
