The General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change has published a report on the amount of precipitation that fell on the territory of Turkey in January 2023. According to the data, the amount of precipitation in Turkey decreased by 52% compared to normal levels and fell to the lowest level in the last 22 years. It is also reported that in January the largest amount of precipitation fell in Antalya province - 145 kg/m2, and the least amount of precipitation fell on Kars - 4.7 kg/m2.
