October 20, 2023

Istanbul residents and guests have a unique opportunity to visit the famous Rahmi M. Koç Industrial Museum, where the Saga Farmann, an exact replica of the Viking cargo sailing ship Klastad, will be on display until the end of October. Saga Farmann, which set sail from Tonsberg, Norway, in April this year, traveled 3,500 kilometers through more than 100 canals and arrived in Istanbul in August. The 20-meter-long ship will soon be put under repair at the City Lines Haliç shipyard and will sail to the Mediterranean upon completion.

The Rahmi M. Koç Museum in Istanbul is a unique museum that occupies a huge area of 27,000 m2 and has an incredible number of exhibits ranging from small mechanisms to cars, airplanes and ships. There is even a real submarine! You can hardly take a whole day to see all the exhibits, but it's worth it!

Opening hours: from April to September from 09:30 to 19:00, from October to March from 09:30 to 17:00, except Mondays.
