Turkey's massive festival TEKNOFEST 2023

Turkey's first aviation, space and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is preparing to open its doors at Izmir's Çiğli Airport.

TEKNOFEST, organized under the leadership of the Technology Teams Foundation of Turkey and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, will feature various activities such as technology competitions, air shows, concerts, interviews, promotions, air shows, scientific presentations, games, simulation areas, educational seminars, exhibitions and concerts. The festival has already been successfully held in Istanbul and Ankara, attracting more than 2.5 million visitors. The final part of the event will be held in Izmir from September 27 to October 1.

A "Deneyap" ("try making") competition will be held among middle and high school students. Out of 327 teams and 1,055 students who made presentations in the intermediate round, 28 teams and 94 students qualified to become finalists. Students in teams will have to develop a solution on a given topic and create a prototype of the problem solution. The topics of the competition are: "Tourism Technologies and Play Environment", "Energy and Climate Technologies", "Barrier-Free Living Technologies", "Healthy Living Technologies". There will also be creative competitions on the stage of the festival. There will be valuable prizes for the winners of competitions and contests.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public.
