Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Irsoy announced that an agreement has been reached between the migration service and banks on the issue of opening accounts for foreigners. "Foreigners wishing to obtain a tourist residence permit in Turkey will receive the necessary assistance to open bank accounts. The decision was made at the level of the Association of Banks and a corresponding letter was sent to the Office of Migration Affairs," Ersoy said. The minister also recalled that in order to obtain and extend a residence permit in Turkey, it is necessary to show a monthly receipt of an amount in the amount of one and a half minimum wages.
