Istanbul newlyweds will be given financial assistance of 7000 liras

Istanbul Municipality has announced 7,000 liras in support of newlyweds. Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu said on social media that 7,135 couples have received marriage support and that the practice will continue. The mayor said that it is possible to apply for the support through the "Istanbul is Yours" ("İstanbul Senin") app.

Conditions:
Payments will be made to the accounts of couples who are found to be in need as a result of a social assessment. Either the bride or groom must reside in Istanbul. Couples must be between the ages of 18 and 24 and must not have been convicted of serious crimes under the Turkish Penal Code. Couples who are eligible for the benefit must be married within 3 months. The lump sum payments will be transferred to the woman's account. Couples who wish to take advantage of the marriage allowance opportunity apply through Alo 153 Solution Center, Istanbul Senin mobile application and sosyalyardim.ibb.gov.tr address.
