The President of Religious Affairs, Professor Dr. Ali Erbash, announced the amount of payment for the sacrifice by proxy for 2024.. The fee for the proxy sacrifice for 2024 was set at 11.750 liras ($364) inside Turkey and 4.750 liras ($147) abroad.
What is a proxy sacrifice?
A person who intends to make a sacrifice, but does not have the opportunity or desire to do it personally, can choose a trusted person as his representative and give him money for a sacrificial animal. The power of attorney can be issued orally or in writing, as well as by any means of communication. According to the agreement, the authorized person (or organization) will buy, slaughter and distribute the meat of the sacrificial animal to those in need.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public.
