Threshold of real estate value for obtaining residence permit on tapu in Turkey increased to 200.000 dollars

Migration Service of Turkey has confirmed the increase in the threshold of real estate value for obtaining residence permit on tapu to 200.000 dollars. According to the new rules for obtaining a residence permit on tapu must be cadastral value of real estate, specified in the tapu, should not be less than 200.000 dollars. In this case, the value of several properties are not summarized. To foreigners who bought real estate in the period from 26.04.2022 to 16.10.2023, the new rules do not apply and they will receive / extend residence permit under the old rules.

The threshold of the value of real estate to obtain citizenship for investment has not yet been increased and is still 400,000 dollars. However, it is actively discussed that this threshold will also be raised from 750,000 to 1 million dollars already in December-January.
