Rules for the import of medicines in the UAE in 2024 

The UAE authorities remind citizens who wish to visit the country of the need to obtain a special permit for carrying certain types of medicines. The new guide, issued in the UAE, is intended for residents, tourists and transit passengers who plan to bring medical drugs into the country. Travelers should carry prescriptions for some medicines and check if they are subject to special control. All UAE residents, tourists and transit passengers are required to have a permit for the importation and storage of controlled and semi-controlled drugs. It can be obtained on the website of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (Mohap). Class A controlled drugs (CDA) are narcotic and psychotropic drugs that are often used in acute and chronic diseases. Class B (CDb) drugs are semi-controlled. Controlled drugs include strong analgesics (e.g., morphine, codeine, fentanyl), psychoactive drugs (e.g., benzodiazepines, antidepressants, neuroleptics), stimulants (e.g., methylphenidate, amphetamines), sedatives and tranquillizers (for example, barbiturates, some sleeping pills). For the importation of controlled drugs, travellers must obtain prior authorization from Mohap and submit relevant documents in Arabic or English, Including a valid medical prescription and an authenticated certificate or authorization from the competent authority of the country of dispatch. Travellers may import prescription drugs for personal use for a period of no more than three months, provided they have an active medical prescription. The UAE prohibits the importation of unregistered or banned drugs, as well as medicinal herbs that may be authorized in the country of origin. For all other herbal medicines, the import procedure is similar to conventional prescription drugs.

Drilling and research vessels of Turkey

Turkey is moving towards its goal of becoming an energy-independent country, and therefore pays special attention to its "energy fleet". The will in Turkey: important information for foreigners 

If a foreigner wants to leave a will in Turkey, it is important to consider that it must comply with Turkish inheritance law. Turkish law provides for a guaranteed share (saklı pay) for certain categories of heirs, regardless of the contents of the will. Such heirs include children, spouses and parents. Legal heirs not mentioned in the will may apply to the court for their share of the inheritance. Brothers and sisters are not entitled to a guaranteed share. Inheritance in Turkey in the absence of a will 1. If there is a spouse and children: - 1/4 of the estate is received by the spouse - 3/4 is divided between the children. 2. If no children: - 1/2 of the estate is received by the spouse - 1/2 is divided between parents (if no parents, then between brothers and sisters) 3. If there are no children and parents: - 3/4 of the estate is received by the spouse- 1/4 is divided between the grandmother and grandfather of the deceased and their children (uncle, aunt) 4. If there are no other relatives besides the spouse: - All inheritance goes to the spouse. 5. If there are no relatives and spouse:- The whole estate goes to the state. Water sports center "Babil" in Mersin

The "Babil" water sports centre, built by the municipality of Mersin, offers residents and guests the opportunity to practice various marine sports. Citizens can practice canoe, rowing, sailing and SUP sports. The centre occupies an area of 340 m2 in the Mezlitli district and consists of two separate buildings, one dedicated to canoes and rowing and the other for sailing. For citizens of all ages, training courses are organized here. Mayor of Mersin Vahap Sekher visited the center, took a canoe ride and invited all residents of Mersin to visit the new center: "Our municipality has put into operation a very good water sports center, consisting of two separate blocks, including locker rooms, stores for sports equipment and open areas. The centre offers canoeing, rowing, sailing and SUP. I invite all of our residents, from 7 to 77 years old, to practice water sports here and take lessons from our instructors." Location
