Alanya University students will participate in the World University Summer Games in China

It has been announced that two students from Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat Üniversitesi (ALKÜ) will participate in the World University Summer Games in China. Salih Korkmaz will compete in the 20km walk and Esra Türkmen will compete in the javelin throw. Salih Korkmaz has already competed for the country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while Esra Türkmen is the gold medalist in javelin throw at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in 2022.

More than 10,000 athletes and officials from 170 countries will take part in the 31st World Summer Universiade, which will be held in Chengdu from July 28 to August 8. Turkey will be represented by 108 athletes in 11 sports.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
