University students in Turkey will be able to buy cell phones and computers tax-free

45 models of cell phones, 15 models of computers! These are the devices that young people can buy tax-free

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has officially announced support for university students. Students are entitled to purchase, a cell phone costing no more than 5,500 liras and a computer costing no more than 9,500 liras. These criteria are met by 45 models of cell phones and 15 models of computers.

The Presidential Decree on tax exemption for the purchase of the below mentioned gadgets by students will be published in the Official Gazette by the end of this year, and the Ministry of Finance and Treasury will publish the regulations on its application. Nearly 7 million students will be able to benefit from this program.Interest-free loans are also provided and three telecom operators will provide them with 10GB of free internet every month.
