TURKSTAT has released new data on candidate districts in the province: Alanya is on the list!

Alanians, outraged by the fact that TURKSTAT did not include Alanya in the list of candidates for the title of province, can exhale. The Institute of Statistics has published a new list in which Alanya is in second place. The reasons for not including Alanya in the previous list are not reported. Perhaps it was just a mistake, or maybe some kind of veiled message to the authorities of Alanya. Who knows...

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
