The number of real estate properties purchased by foreign nationals in the TRNC is constantly increasing. In 2019, the Council of Ministers of the Republic granted the rights to purchase real estate to 1,141 foreigners, in 2021 to 1,179 foreigners and in 2022 to 2,810 foreigners. Since the beginning of 2023, foreigners have already purchased 4,569 properties in North Cyprus. Due to attractive prices and simple conditions for obtaining a residence permit, experts predict the continuation of this trend.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
