In 2023, Antalya province took the first place in terms of the number of real estate purchased by foreigners

According to official data published by TURKSTAT, a total of 1 million 225 thousand 926 properties were sold in Turkey in 2023, which is 17.5% less than in 2022.

Istanbul - 198.739 properties - 16.2% of total sales
Ankara - 114,432 properties - 9.3% of total sales
Izmir - 65,465 objects - 5.3% of total sales

Foreigners purchased 35,005 properties in 2023, which is 48.1% less than in 2022.

1st place - Antalya - 12.702 objects
2nd place - Istanbul - 11.229 objects
3rd place - Mersin - 3.016 objects

The vast majority of foreign buyers are Russian citizens - 10,560 objects, followed by Iranian citizens - 4,282 objects and Iraqi citizens - 1,917 objects.
