The winner of the European Triathlon Cup in Mersin was an athlete from Kazakhstan

The second stage of the European Triathlon Cup - Yenişehir Triathlon, organized jointly by Yenişehir Municipality, European Triathlon Union and Turkish Triathlon Federation, was held in Mersin. The competition was held at Yenişehir Beach and Adnan Menderes Boulevard. Among women, the gold medal was won by Selinay Tugce Kır of Turkey with a result of 1 hour 5 minutes and 16 seconds, the second place went to Merel Veltman from the Netherlands and the third place to Beatu Bula from Latvia.

In men's event the winner was Egor Krupyakov from Kazakhstan with the result of 55 minutes 26 seconds, the second place was taken by Alexander Ten from the same country with the result of 55 minutes 26 seconds, and the third place was taken by Italian Andrea Balestreri with the time of 55 minutes 36 seconds. 

The athletes were awarded by Ibrahim Yalçınkaya, President of the Turkish Triathlon Federation, Pascal Salamin, Board Member of the European Triathlon Union, Mark Weigel, Mayor of Neustadt, twin municipality of Yenisehir in Germany and Abdullah Ozigit, Head of Yenisehir.
