In Turkey, two Iranians received a fine of 774.282 lira for collecting giant onions

A fine of 774.282 liras (almost $24,000) was issued to two Iranians who collected 3 bags of giant onions in Van province, which were prohibited from collecting. Employees of the Department of Nature Protection and National Parks of Gevash seized plants that were collected together with tubers.

Allium Giganteum - giant (gigantic) onion is a perennial herbaceous plant, an Asian type of onion. It grows in Central and Southwestern Asia and can reach a height of up to 1.5 m. The inflorescence is spherical, 12-15 cm long and consists of beautiful purple-purple star-shaped flowers.
