In Turkey, it will now be necessary to confirm an appointment at public clinics

April 17, 2024

Minister of Health Fahrettin Khoja announced an innovation, according to which it will now be necessary to confirm an appointment in advance, namely before 23.59 days preceding the date of admission. Thus, if the patient cancels the appointment after this time, he will not be able to make a rendezvous (appointment) for the next 15 days. This is done for more efficient use of the capacities of the medical industry and a more responsible attitude of patients to the work of doctors.

The minister also said that last year the number of people who signed up for an appointment and did not come to it amounted to 23 million people, and in 3 months of 2024 - 6 million people.
