The famous Orient Express will start running from December 11, 2023

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that the tourist Orient Express will start running from December 11. The Orient Express, running on the Ankara-Kars line, is among the top four routes in the world. Ticket sales have already started. A compartment ticket for two adults and two children under 6 years old costs 6,000 liras in low season, 8,000 liras in normal period and 12,500 liras in high season.

Uraloglu said that all preparations for the 2023-2024 season have been completed and everyone can enjoy the historical and natural beauties of Anatolia. Eastern Express trains will depart from Ankara on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from December 11, 2023 to March 8, 2024 and from Kars on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from December 13, 2023 to March 10, 2024. Additional flights from Ankara on December 31, 2023, January 20 and 27, 2024 and from Kars on January 2, 22 and 29, 2024 are also envisaged.Thus, a total of 84 flights will be operated.
