119 universities in Turkey are among the 3,000 best universities in the world

The research laboratory "University Ranking by Academic Indicators" (URAP) of the METU Institute of Informatics announced that 119 Turkish universities were included in the ranking of "3,000 best universities in the world". METU URAP is one of the 10 authorized institutions that make up university rankings worldwide.

URAP used academic productivity indicators in six areas: "articles", "citations", "total number of scientific papers", "total number of publications", "total number of citations" and "international cooperation" to compile the rating

Hacettepe University took 554th place in the ranking, Istanbul Technical University - 783rd place, Istanbul University - 799th place, Ankara University - 800th place, METU - 868th place, Koc University - 920th place, Istanbul University named after Jerrahpasha is ranked 990, Gazi University is ranked 995 and Aegean University is ranked 998.

20 universities in Turkey were included in the 1001-1500 group, 22 universities in the 1501-2000 group, 38 universities in the 2001-2500 group and 30 universities in the 2501-3000 group. The first places in the ranking were taken by universities in the USA, Great Britain and China.
