Turkey plans to start active negotiations on the return of air services immediately after the May holidays. The first item will be a meeting in Antalya of the Turkish-Russian working group on tourism safety. The invitations have already been sent by the Turkish side. This information was announced by the Ambassador of Turkey to Moscow Mehmet Samsar.
The meeting was originally scheduled for April, but later postponed. On the new dates of the meeting, Turkey aims to acquaint the Russian authorities with the measures taken and to remove all the "question marks" in their heads. "
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri 1 are ready to visit Moscow in May to discuss the situation with Covid-19, as well as “allay the concerns of their Russian colleagues and provide all the necessary information,” the ambassador said. He assured that "Turkey is open for cooperation and is making every effort to develop relations in this area."
