Real estate market players have clarified which characteristics of housing are now especially important for buyers. If we are talking about apartment buildings, then they must have an elevator, but at the same time, there must be a comfortable staircase, along which, if desired (or in the event of a possible earthquake), any number of people can easily and quickly go down.
Large rooms are now important for apartments; spacious balconies almost the size of a living room have become almost an obligatory characteristic. If the residents of a house designed for several apartments have a terrace at their disposal, even better.
As for the houses or villas, they should also ideally have a garden in the surrounding area, if not, an open terrace or a large veranda. The priority is houses located next to a forest or other "green" zone, moreover, built in such a way as to provide residents with maximum access to fresh air from this forest.
The recent earthquake in Izmir largely influenced this shift in preferences. In addition, people began to ask the prices for more spacious housing options thanks to the maximum decrease in interest rates on home loans in the summer of 2020, which the government took care of. During this period, market players reported, 43% more people moved from cities to the periphery in the "pandemic" summer season than in "normal" years.
We have already said that what is happening in the world has increased the demand for housing in nature in Turkey at once by 235%. Which led to a soar in house prices up to 45% in Antalya province. Real estate analysts believe that this season, the rapid growth in the value of residential real estate in the once "summer", and now turning into year-round seaside regions will continue.
