Russian delegation on the discovery of Turkey unexpectedly changed plans in Antalya

June 18, 2021

The Russian delegation, which arrived in Antalya on Wednesday, unexpectedly changed the direction of the route, according to Turkish media. The delegation, recall, was sent to Turkey in order to study the "coronavirus security" measures taken at airports and hotels, as well as the situation on the ground so that the Headquarters of the Russian Federation could decide whether to extend the ban on air traffic with Turkey after 21.06 or vice versa - to open this is a tourist destination.

Recall that Turkey has developed a program for the visit of the Russian delegation, including - painted hotels that were planned to be shown to the inspectors. However, according to the Turizmguncel newspaper, the plan did not work out - the Russian delegation changed the previously established schedule, including the experts said that they would go to the Side resort to inspect the hotels that they had planned for inspection on their own. According to the estimates of Russian experts interviewed by a correspondent of the TURPROM information group, this step of the inspectors is quite literate, since it makes no sense to check the “Potemkin villages” prepared in advance by the Turkish side, where everything is perfect. But checking the hotels that are in "working mode", where no one expects the delegation, will show the true state of affairs with coronavirus security.

Although the surprise was greeted in Turkey with surprise, as noted by the head of the tourism group of the Antalya City Council, Recep Yavuz, in general, the change in the program did not cause much stress on the Turkish side: “Because we have no doubts about our security measures. We have been applying these measures for 1.5 years, and we did them not only for the Russians to come and inspect us, ”he said in social networks.

Also, Mr. Yavuz reported that the Russian delegation has already checked the Antalya airport, namely the location of the PCR test, as well as the check-in and check-out areas. “The delegation, accompanied by 5 professors and 4 civil servants sent by Russia to study the state of health in Turkey, will examine the measures taken in places such as airports, hotels and hospitals in Antalya,” added the Turkish tourism official. He stated that he has a positive attitude towards any wishes and changes from the Russian side. "In terms of the importance they attach to this issue." “This means that in Russia they really want to study and evaluate the problem from the point of view of health. We are ready for any surprises, the Russian delegation is accompanied by two experienced professional guides who will offer solutions to any problems, ”added Mr. Yavuz. The Turkish official did not forget to add that if the Russian delegation tried to do this in Spain or Greece, they would have received a negative answer: "Sorry, we cannot go beyond a certain plan."
