Sales of tours to Turkey increased by 5% in a week

June 30, 2021

This was announced on Monday, June 28, by the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.

“The revival of demand has gone towards Turkey, but not yet explosive. New sales have grown and objective growth is noticeable, but the dynamics are not sharp, within 5% since last week. It is difficult to attribute this dynamics only to the changes in the Krasnodar Territory, "RIA Novosti quoted Lomidze as saying.

The fact that Russia will resume flights with Turkey from June 22, it became known on June 18. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova clarified that the visit of the Russian inspection team on coronavirus to the republic has ended. The delegation confirmed the safety of the presence of Russian tourists there.

According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, on the first day of the opening of flights, the airlines planned to make 78 flights, including 54 - Russian airlines.

At the same time, on June 24, Golikova recommended that Russians be vaccinated against coronavirus with at least one component of the drug before traveling abroad.

Flights to Turkey were suspended on April 15 due to the deterioration of the COVID-19 situation in that country.
