enFree gas for Turkish citizens

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a ceremony dedicated to the commissioning of the natural gas field in Sakarya that gas will be free for all citizens of the country within one month. During the same year, all households in the country will receive 25 m2 of gas monthly for free and pay only for the amount that has exceeded this limit.
It is expected that the Black Sea natural gas will cover up to 30% of Turkey's fuel needs. Daily production will amount to 10 million m3 of gas, by 2026 it is planned to increase to 40 million m3.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
