According to Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 15,593,489 people arrived in Turkey in the first 5 months of this year, an increase of 23.65% compared to the same period in 2022.
14,034,175 who arrived were foreign nationals. The remaining 1,559,314 people are Turkish citizens living abroad. Territorially, the most popular holiday destination is still the province of Antalya, where more than 5 million tourists arrived. The rest of the tourist flow was distributed between Istanbul, Mugla province, central Anatolia, Mersin and other regions.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.

Turkey's economic growth in the second quarter of 2024
