The fight against illegal migrants in Turkey continues

Today, there are more than 5 million refugees living in Turkey, the vast majority of whom are Syrians. The problems related to illegal migrants are often discussed in society. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who promised to solve this problem in a few months, reported on the situation with illegal migration in the country. According to him, during the last 2 months, the Interior Ministry officers detained about 36 thousand illegal migrants. Of them 17,258 people were deported.  He also said that in June and July, more than 2 thousand operational activities were carried out, during which 1,385 people involved in the organization of illegal migration were arrested.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
