enDrilling vessel Abdülhamid Han has started drilling the Akseki-1 well

Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) announced that the Abdulhamid Han, the most powerful natural gas exploration and drilling vessel in the Turkish offshore fleet, has started drilling the Akseki-1 well.
The Abdülhamid Han has previously carried out drilling operations at Yörükler-1 and Taşucu-1 wells in the Mediterranean Sea. There are only 4-5 drilling vessels of this class in the world, and Turkey has one of them at its disposal.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
