Sea and Coastal Shipping Day in Alanya

Alanya is preparing to celebrate Sea Fleet and Cabotage Day. July 1, residents and guests of the city will celebrate with enthusiasm the Day of sea and coastal shipping, which was declared a national holiday in connection with the law on cabotage, effective July 1, 1926. Events dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the Day of Sea and Coastal Shipping will be held with the support of the governorate of the district, the municipality of Alanya and the port administration. 

The events will begin on July 1 at 18.00 in the port of Alanya. Alanya Port President Mehmet Saihan: "As always, we have prepared a bright program that will start at 18:00 in front of the Atatürk monument on the Alanya Wharf Square. The program will include swimming, shows with boards and flyboards, a night swim divers and, of course, a spectacular competition to remove the flag from the oil pole, which is eagerly awaited all over Alanya. The prizes will also be impressive. On the same day, the submarine TCG Inonu will be opened for visitors."

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
