Mersin farmer makes toys out of municipal solid waste

Mustafa Ercan, a 49-year-old farmer from Mersin, has been making various toys out of municipal solid waste all his life. When he was a child, his parents were unable to buy toys, so Ercan made them for himself and his siblings. Now making toys is his hobby to which he devotes his free time.
Mustafa Ercan, a father of three, gives the finished toys to his children and also organizes mini exhibitions for all villagers. In his work he uses aluminum containers, aerosol cans, rubber shoes, refrigerator parts and even toasters. The farmer has made several hundred toys in his lifetime.

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public.
