Alanya's historic mansion Hacı Karanfil has received an award from the Union of Historic Towns of Turkey

October 12, 2023

Built in the late 19th century (1899-1900) and restored by the Municipality of Alanya, the historic mansion Hacı Karanfil has been awarded for the second time in the competition "Encouragement of projects for the protection of the country's historical and cultural heritage". The competition was organized by the Union of Historical Cities (TKB). Incidentally, the mansion: located in the Şekerhan neighborhood, has already received the same award in the 2019 competition.

"Hacı Karanfil Mansion is one of the most beautiful examples of architectural structures that reveal the urban identity of Alanya. We have restored the mansion, preserving all the original details. The local craftsmen did a great job and the fact that it has been recognized by the Union of Historic Cities as worthy of an award for the second time gives us great joy and pride," said Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Üzdel.
