August 17, 2023

The captain of a pleasure boat Turgay Meshe, who organizes daily sightseeing tours in Alanya, noticed that a sea turtle was fluttering near the shores of Alanya Castle. After bringing the turtle aboard the boat, Meshe saw that the turtle was tangled in a fishing line. The captain cut the fishing line and released the turtle into the sea. The tourists present on the boat recorded the rescue process on their cell phones. Then the sea turtle was released back into the sea.

It is noteworthy that just 4 days ago Turgay Meshe also rescued a sea turtle entangled in fishing gear. The brave Alani captain has already rescued two sea turtles.
