MESKİ has checked the quality of seawater on Mersin's beaches

"Mersin's beaches are safe and suitable for bathing," Mersin Metropolitan Municipality's Water Supply and Sewerage Department (MESKİ) officials said after a thorough inspection of the seawater. Samples were taken from 40 beaches, including Kocasanlı, Kargıpınarı, Davultepe, Limonlu, Tırtar, Töbank, Kumkuyu, Sultankoyu, Yemiskumu, Kızkalesi and Akkum beaches.

Sampling was carried out at the public beaches of Yapraklıköy, Susanoğlu, Arkum, Büyükekeli, Karatepe, Anamur Eren and Aydıncık, Toslaklar Bay, Boziazi Beach, Karaaç Picnic Area and various coastal points of Aydıncık and Anamur. The results were evaluated by MESKİ expert groups within the framework of the "Regulation on Bathing Water Quality Management". Inspection results: the analysis values of seawater samples meet the criteria of the regulation.
