October 6, 2023

It has been announced that the government is launching the Mobil Göç Noktası (Mobile Migration Station) application as part of the fight against illegal migration. This pilot application was tested in Istanbul for 9 weeks, after which it was decided to introduce it in other cities in Turkey.

"We will launch the Mobile Migration Point app in Bursa, Adana, Izmir and Ankara from October 1, in 30 more metropolitan cities from November 1, and the app will be launched throughout Turkey from December 1," Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya said. He also said the number of checks on foreigners will be increased. "We will conduct checks everywhere, including soccer matches, stores and other public places," Yerlikaya said.

So far, Turkish Interior Ministry officials have identified more than 105,000 migrants whose residence permits have expired. All of them have been deported.
