1. One-time tax on the purchase of real estate:
Payable on a one-time basis when buying a property and is 4% of the cadastral value of the property.
2. One-time income tax
It is paid one-time when selling real estate, which is owned for less than 5 years. It is charged when the tapu value of the real estate object has increased during the sale. For example, the value of the apartment on the tapu was 1 million liras, and after the sale of the new owner in the tapu value became 1 million 100 thousand liras. In this case, the income tax will be 20 thousand liras (20% of 100 thousand liras).
Progressive income tax scale:
income up to 70,000 TL - 15%
income from 70,001 TL to 150,000 TL - 20%
income from 150 001 TL to 550 000 TL - 27%
income from 550 001 TL to 1 900 000 TL - 35%
income over 1,900,000 TL - 40%.
3. annual property tax:
Payable twice a year by the property owner. It is calculated from the value indicated in the tapu (certificate of ownership). The amount of tax is 0.1-0.2% for residential properties, 0.2-0.4% for commercial properties and 0.3-0.6% for land plots.
