The opening of the Bulgur Palas, a historic palace built in 1912 for Mehmet Habib Bey, who made his fortune selling bulgur, took place in Istanbul. Hence the name of the palace. The Istanbul Municipality bought the palace in 2021, restored it and opened it to the public in 2024. Bulgur Palas has a library with free coffee, a gallery, a coworking, a bookstore, a cafe and a beautiful observation deck. The gallery houses the Magnum Photos exhibition, which features more than 200 photographs from the most famous photographers. Be sure to visit this unique palace - it will definitely not disappoint you!

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
