World tourism data for 2023 has been published: Turkey took 5th place

According to the World Tourism Organization, 1.3 billion people worldwide traveled to another country in 2023. France received the most tourists - 100 million people, and Turkey took the fifth place.

Turkey's revenue from tourism in 2023 amounted to 49 billion 500 million dollars. Thus, the country ranked sixth in terms of tourism revenues. Overall, Turkey's tourism revenues increased by 10%.

France has been a leader in global tourism since 2010. Among the most visited places are Disneyland Paris, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles and Place Pompidou. Spain broke its own record by hosting 85 million tourists in 2023 and earning $92 billion. The United States received about $ 176 billion in revenue, receiving 66 million 480 thousand tourists. Italy took the 4th place, receiving 57 million 250 thousand tourists in 2023 and receiving 55 billion 900 million dollars in revenue.
