The first train left Söğütlüçeşme station at 08.40 am and arrived in Sivas 7 hours and 18 minutes later. A welcoming ceremony was organized for the arriving passengers.

Governor of Sivas Yilmaz Shimshek: "Today Sivas is experiencing a historic day again. With this trip, our flights to Istanbul began, and the distance between Istanbul and Sivas was reduced to 7 hours. The high-speed train opens up new horizons for our city.
