enOpen air cooling system in Mersin

Mersin's Erdemli District Municipality has installed an "open air cooling system" in closed markets and in the area in front of the hospital. With temperatures exceeding seasonal norms across the country, the lives and health of citizens are being negatively affected, so Erdemli Municipality has implemented a project to cool the air in the most crowded areas.
"We have installed an open air cooling system so that our citizens can comfortably shop at the closed markets in Erdemli and stay calmly in the area near our hospital," said Erdemli head Mükerrem Tollu.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
