May 22, 2024

Nilhan Onal Gokchetekin, CEO of Hepsiburada, delivered a speech at the opening of the event, which aroused great interest from technology enthusiasts. In her speech, Gokchetekin shared her views on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in general. She particularly noted the importance of digitalization of business and the role of women entrepreneurs in this area.

Gokchetekin noted that Hepsiburada is one of the rare companies whose founder and CEO is a woman: "Even among Nasdaq companies, there is no company like us. We believe in the power of women and want to attract and retain world-class talent. 38% of our engineers are women. This figure is higher than the global average, and we intend to increase it even more."

Gokcetin stated that within the framework of the "Technological Power for Women Entrepreneurs" program, over 8 years, Hepsiburada has supported 50,000 women, showing the whole of Turkey what women can achieve if they are given the necessary support and encouragement. By the end of 2030, Hepsiburada intends to increase the number of women using this program to 120 thousand.

Hepsiburada is the largest Turkish e-commerce company, the first and only Turkish company included in the NASDAQ index. To date, Hepsiburada has provided digitalization support to more than 400 thousand companies and contributed to the employment of about 5 million people.
