Turkey's popular meteorologist has been accused of forging an education diploma

The dispute over the "fake diploma" between meteorological experts suddenly became the agenda on Turkey's social media. Mikdat Kadyoglu, head of the Meteorology department at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), accused Crem Okten (pictured right), a meteorologist popular on television and on social media, of having a fake diploma.

Mikdat Kadyoglu: "As the head of the Meteorology Department of Istanbul Technical University, I respectfully declare to the public that we do not have such a graduate. We are filing a police report regarding the incident with the fake diploma." Kerem Okten, in turn, does not agree with the charges and has already turned to a lawyer.
