In Turkey, as in most developed countries, there is a consumer protection law. Law No. 6502 describes all consumer rights and seller's obligations. According to the law, any consumer, whether an individual or a legal entity, in the event of a defect in a purchased product has the right:
- to reimbursement of funds
- to repair the product
- product replacement
- to reimbursement of damages caused as a result of using the defective product.
Important: The consumer has the right to cancel the sales contract within 14 days from the date of purchase of the product. If it is not possible to resolve the issue with the seller peacefully - appeal to the Consumer Arbitration Council. The applicant will not be charged any fees for this. For standard purchases in food or clothing stores, you can also contact the police, whose officers often quickly resolve disputes on the spot.
