The Turkish government has increased the monthly support amount for citizens to pay for natural gas

The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that the support of citizens for natural gas has been increased to 188-438 liras per month under a new decree. The ministry issued a written statement on the new decree announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after a cabinet meeting.

The statement said that previously 900 to 2,500 liras per year per family was allocated to support natural gas, and noted the following: "We have increased the annual amount allocated to our citizens to 3,500 liras. In this regard, we have made the payments regular for 8 months in order to make payments during the winter months. Thus, we increase the support to 188 to 438 liras per month".
